A fire at an ammunition depot in Bharatpur, 190km west of New Delhi, has destroyed 12,000 tons of ammunition worth nearly $9 million. Included were missiles, 125mm tank shells, 130mm and 155mm artillery shells, and others. Two civilians were killed in the huge 28 April blast.--Stephen V Cole
