Acting on a tip, police captured, outside of Medellin, a boss of one of the major drug smuggling cartels. The man, Jose Aldemar Rendon, had disguised himself with plastic surgery and many bribes. But the growing police success in expanding its informer network has made senior criminals more vulnerable.
