The AUC rebels are supposed to completely demobilize this year, while the larger FARC continues to fight back, and retreat deeper into the mountains. The smaller ELN wants to work out a peace deal. All three groups are still heavily into the cocaine business, but these operations are also under heavy attack, largely because Colombians are fed up with decades of lawlessness and violence by drug gangs.
