The navy seized four tons of cocaine from a boat belonging to a right wing militia. Although 550-600 tons of cocaine are exported by Colombian criminal groups each year, the government still catches a lot of it. So far this year, 68 tons have been seized, two thirds of it by the navy. 

FARC has threatened to kill dozens of hostages it is holding in an attempt to get FARC prisoners released. The government refuses to negotiate the release of imprisoned FARC members. FARC is holding dozens of politicians and policemen.
