China's attempt to force North Korea to make a deal over it's nuclear weapons program appears to have failed. A China sponsored meeting between North Korea, China, South Korea, the US, Russia and Japan ended with North Korea threatening to test a nuclear weapon. North Korea wants a non-aggression pledge from the US enough aid to keep it's bankrupt economy going. None of the other nations are willing to meet these demands with out inspections and guarantees, which the north does not appear willing to provide. China has one option left; to cut off aid. China is one of the few remaining sources of fuel and food for North Korea.
