Police broke up a demonstration in front of the US embassy in the capital of Uzbekistan. The 70 or so protestors, all members of one clan, were complaining about the loss of land due to corrupt government officials. Over a hundred police attacked the protestors, who were also calling for the removal of the government (which is widely regarded as corrupt and tyrannical)..
