: The US is demonstrating it is quite serious about moving troops from Western Europe. Right now the US is considering short duration rotations of troops at bases where equipment and supplies are pre-positioned. US military representatives have begun looking at Bulgarian base sites. The Bulgarian government said that the US representatives will look at air bases, seaports, and training facilities for troops. One site the US will inspect is the naval base at Burgas. Two air bases have been identified for possible US or alliance use: Bezmer and Graf Ignatievo.
