Money talks. Serbia arrested Veselin Sljivancanin, one of the key Serb officers allegedly involved in the murder of 200 Croats in 1991. Sljivancanin had been on a wanted-list for years. However, with the threat of a cut-off of US and European Union (EU) aid, it appears the Serb government decided to act. A subsequent report said Serb special forces conducted the arrest, though there was a ten-hour long confrontation outside Sljivancanins home in Belgrade.
