Bulgaria joined Greece and Macedonia in condemning ethnic Albanian guerrillas fighting in south Serbia (ie, the UCPMB). Bulgarias President Petar Stoyanov was quoted as saying "The acts of armed Albanians in southern Serbia diminish the effect of the (October) local elections in Kosovo and cast doubts over the legitimacy and representation of the leaders of the Kosovo Albanians." The political denunciations come in the wake of the bus bombing in Kosovo where over 45 Serbs died.
