After a gun battle between his supporters and security forces, Former Albanian president Sali Berisha was arrested then released by Albanian government police. Five people were reportedly slain in a gunfight in the town of Tropoja. Tropoja is described as a "Berisha stronghold." Berisha's Democratic Party has been protesting last month's Albanian municipal elections which they believe were rigged.
