Algeria: Islamic Terrorism Fizzles

Archives

November 13, 2005: The month long terrorist "Ramadan Offensive", left about 70 people dead. This is far less than during similar operations in past years, demonstrating the declining capabilities of the terrorists.

November 6, 2005: Two Islamic terrorists turned themselves, and their weapons, into police. This sort of thing happens once or twice a week. Some of the Islamic terrorists are leaving the country as well, heading for Europe (to rest), or Iraq (to fight and die).

October 31, 2005: Over the weekend, Islamic rebels made several attacks, leaving three dead.

October 30, 2005: A series of police raids in western Algeria left none rebels dead.
