In several attacks, rebels killed five civilians. The rebels continue to go after civilians in areas where they wish to terrorize locals in either supporting them, or at least not assisting the army in finding rebel camps. For this reason, shepherds are a frequent target, as are isolated villages out in the countryside where the rebel hideouts are. When the army does find a rebel camp, rebel losses are usually heavy.
