The government estimates that the eight year struggle with Moslem terrorists cost the nation some $20 billion. Much of this was from destruction of schools. Some 800 schools were partially or completely burned. Also,  156 of the 1,541 municipal buildings in the nation were forced to close down. At least 2,850 homes and  1,040 commercial buildings were destroyed. Worst of all, over 100,000 people died.
