  Apparently Taliban tactics and organization in recent attacks on border posts in the Khost region, over on the Waziristan border, have been characterized by platoon- and even
company-sized attacks conducted with considerable skill and sophistication. Nearly 100,000 Afghan refugees, many of them Taliban supporters, are living in that part of Pakistan. Only in the past year have Pakistani troops entered the area, and found military training facilities, many of them recently moved from across the border in Afghanistan.
