A police raid released two Turkish aid workers and their Afghan interpreter that had been kidnapped last December. Two of the kidnappers were killed in and raid and two policemen wounded. The kidnappers were pro-Taliban tribesmen who wanted to drive all foreigners from the country. This is a traditional attitude among conservative tribesmen.
