Four followers of Islamic radical Gulbuddin Hekmatyar were arrested as suspects in a rocket attack on the northern Mazar-i-Sharif airport. Another 28 people, including three Pakistanis, were arrested two days ago for planning the same kind of attacks, all directed at disrupting the March 21st celebration of the traditional Afghan new year. Pushtuns, many of whom are Islamic conservatives, oppose the New Year's celebration, which is more popular with the nearby Tajik tribes.
