 Several small bombs have gone off in the capital and police are searching for bomb making facilities in the city. 

Much of the air support for US troops is now coming from helicopter gun ships and A-10 ground attack aircraft stationed in Afghanistan.

Fighting continues in the north between rival warlords, leaving at least five dead.
