Allied troops in eastern Afghanistan seized large Taliban/al Qaeda ammunition dumps. Some 600 RPG rockets, 1.8 million rifle bullets, 1,500 mortar rounds and 600 artillery shells were taken. Five T-54 tanks were also captured. Some was given to the Afghan government, the rest blown up where it was found. Some of the local warlords are complaining among themselves about the munitions being their own, not Taliban or al Qaeda.

Someone continues to fire rockets at the allied base at Khost airport in eastern Afghanistan. There have been no casualties so far.

Britain officially ended Operation Snipe (after 16 days) and said that additional operations of this type were planned.
