Major Jamie Robertson, a spokesman for the Canadian Forces attached to U.S. Central Command in Tampa, FLA. told the press that snipers from Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and members of the top-secret JTF-2 are fighting holdout al-Qaeda fighters on a mountain range near the Pakistan border. This is the first time any of JTF-2's ongoing operations have been made public. Unlike the United States, the Canadian Forces have consistently refused to provide regular briefings, despite the presence of more than 2,500 troops in the region. - Adam Geibel
