The Zhawar al Qaeda base, near Khost on the Pakistan border, continues to get bombed for the 11th day. American ground troops are clearing out surviving al Qaeda and Taliban troops that have been trying to take refuge in the area. This area has long been a major al Qaeda base and was hit by US cruise missiles in 1998. The US continues to fly al Qaeda/Taliban prisoners from Afghanistan to Cuba.
