Lyon, a rifleman with Mobile 1, 4th Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, holds a pigeon he and his Marines captured during a mission in the city here. The bird was in a vehicle with five Iraqi men. Corporal Lyon and his fellow warriors detained the men because of their suspicious activity and kept the bird as evidence.
