SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 18, 2011) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) pulls along side the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4) during a vertical replenishment. Gridley is on a deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
