Archives

The aircraft was landing on one of the Pribilof Island (St. Paul Island) off the coast of Alaska, when it went slid off the runway. The aircraft tilted to the right, causing the number 4 propeller to come in contact with the ground. This caused the number 4 engine to depart the aircraft. The aircraft finally stopped 165 feet from the runway. Everyone on the aircraft was safe, including the 5,000 Gallon fuel truck it was carrying.
