Malaysia has allocated $3.73 billion during 2001-2005 to modernize its forces. First priority is a new heavy lift helicopter for the Army. After that, the program includes multi-role combat aircraft, air defense systems, unmanned aerial recon drones, attack helicopters for the Army, and naval helicopters.--Stephen V Cole
