The Slovak Republic has taken new steps in its bid to join NATO. One is a new law on classified materials which will make cooperation with NATO easier. Another is an agreement to provide the headquarters and one battalion for a joint peacekeeping brigade, with Poland and the Czech Republic providing the other battalions.--Stephen V Cole
