The Swedish Air Force will form a new rapid reaction air unit to support international peacekeeping missions effective 1 January 2001. The unit will include four C130H transports and four AJSF37 Viggen recon planes, and will be available to join a peacekeeping mission on 30 days notice.--Stephen V Cole
