Sweden has decided to donate equipment for ten battalions of light infantry to the Baltic Nations. Latvia will get enough for four battalions; Estonia and Lithuania will each get enough for three battalions. The equipment includes AK4 assault rifles, 84mm Carl Gustaf recoilless launchers, machineguns, anti-tank weapons, anti-armor mines, and ammunition. Sweden took pains to note that it would not be supplying armored vehicles, artillery, TOW missiles, or RBS70 anti-aircraft missiles.--Stephen V Cole
