CIVPOL (International Police Programs for the United Nations overseas police missions) is recruiting 150 experienced police supervisors for work in Iraq. All areas of police experience are wanted, including K9 and narcotics. Candidates must currently hold the rank of sergeant (or the equivalent). The U.S. State Department is footing the bill. Those accepted will be paid $63,000 to $74,000 a year (tax exempt). Food and housing will also be provided. Shortly, there will be a call for 500 volunteers below the rank of sergeant.
