Sweden and Denmark have reached a new naval cooperation agreement. Under the deal, Denmark will lease the 20-year-old Swedish submarine Nacken and will have a discount on any Viking-class submarines it buys later. (Nacken has ten years or more of useful life; it was taken out of service by budget cuts.) The Swedes will get a test & evaluation set of the Danish remote minesweeping system.--Stephen V Cole
