Egypt wants to buy two new diesel submarines. The current working idea is to have the hulls built at the RDM yard in the Netherlands, then bring them to the Litton Ingalls yard in Pascagoula to fit out the combat systems. Ingalls believes that the warship market for the next decade includes 40 corvettes in the 85m class, plus some larger ships and submarines. --Stephen V Cole
