Military Space- Back in 2000, the Space Shuttle completed a radar-topographic map of most of the world. NASA is just now releasing a radar-topographic map of the US accurate to within 30 meters, and will release less-accurate 90-meter maps of some foreign areas to "qualified" research groups. Radar-topographic maps of Afghanistan, Iraq, and other areas are not being released, although these were processed on a priority basis and given to the Pentagon. --Stephen V Cole
