: During 2001, there were 15 commercial satellite launches on expendable boosters: eight by Ariane, five by the US (two of those on Russian boosters), and two others. The US expects to launch at least a dozen commercial satellite boosters this year, most of them on US-made boosters of the new Atlas-V and Delta-IV types. --Stephen V Cole
