The US Marines recently made a good deal at the tire store. The Canadians had decided to change to a new kind of tire on their Light Armored Vehicles, and gave the stockpile of spare tires they had assembled in Bosnia to the Marines. The stockpile was valued at $750,000 and included tires, rims, and run-flat inserts. It cost the Marines $60,000 to ship the tires back to the US.--Stephen V Cole
