The National Guard reports that 59% of its helicopters are grounded for lack of spare parts due to having those budgets cut and/or diverted to other uses (e.g., peacekeeping) over the last few years. Those grounded include 382 of the 476 UH-1 tactical lift helicopters and 73% of the 351 AH-1 Cobras.--Stephen V Cole
