The US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) is suddenly energetically recruiting retired military people for 12-24 months of work in "nation building." The destination appears to be Iraq. Preference is given for people with experience in Special Forces, Civil Affairs or psychological warfare operations. Higher pay is offered with people with experience in telecommunications, computer networking, radio communications, engineering (civil and military), Public Affairs, transportation and logistics. Some jobs may require a security clearance, so if candidates recently had one, they are in luck.
