Israel has selected the Beach King Air B200 design by Raytheon as its new Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Aircraft of this type will replace the three old Seascan planes now in service. A rival bid by an Israeli company was rejected because Israel can pay for the B200's out of their US military aid accounts. --Stephen V Cole
