Last year, over 90 percent of the reportable (communicable) medical conditions among active duty military personnel were venereal diseases (VD). In a trend that began two decades ago, chlamydia continues to be the most common form of VD (four times as many cases as the former champ, gonorrhea). Chlamydia alone accounted for 61 percent of all reportable medical conditions. At least there was not much malaria or dengue fever.
