You know the government is really onto a new problem when they start inventing their own acronyms for terms that have been used for years. A case in point is car bombs. Now car bombs have been around for decades. There are also truck bombs, bicycle and motorcycle bombs. Too many terms, according to Department of Defense bureaucrats. To deal with this confusion we have a new term; VBIED (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device.) VBEIDs are described as any type vehicle, manned or unmanned that has been converted into a bomb. Makes you feel better, doesn't it?
