The Army has suspended distribution of berets made by Bancroft Cap Company, which was the sole provider of berets until the massive orders for black berets. They were required by the Berry Amendment to use American-made materials, but have been found to use Pakistani leather and South African wool. The berets will be held pending a review but may be returned to the company.--Stephen V Cole
