Desperate for recruits, the Navy will try anything, including leasing a "white knuckle amusement park ride" from its owner for $500,000 per year. The simulator (designed to show people what it is like to fly aerobatics with the Blue Angels) can take 20 people at a time. Unlike previous equipment used at air shows and fairs (which were basically non-moving movie theaters), this system actually jostles the passengers like similar rides used in theme parks.--Stephen V Cole
