US security officials are concerned over US companies that sold anti-virus software to China. The problem is not the anti-virus software, but copies of 300 known computer viruses which the Chinese demanded in order to be able to test the software. The concern is that by studying these virus programs, the Chinese will be able to develop new viruses for offensive use.--Stephen V Cole
