The CIA sees the Internet as both an opportunity to pick up information and a threat to its own security. The Agency wants new ultra-speed computers that could search the entire Internet (including chat rooms) for useful information. It also wants to build its own secure computer network, one that hackers cannot get into, to carry data between analysts, informers, and agents. CIA hackers are already breaking into dozens of banks and companies tracking money involved in various international plots.-Stephen V Cole
