Even though the armed services are expanding their fleets of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it isn't enough. The troops love having "their own reconnaissance aircraft" and are demanding more UAVs. Moreover, classified war games played by the Joint Chiefs of Staff reveal continuing shortages in surveillance of the combat zone. This is because everyone now knows that UAVs work, and the wargames reveal the benefits of using even more of them.
