Freedom Arms has introduced a new revolver intended as a smaller and lighter survival weapon for those who want to carry a weapon in their vehicle or aircraft. While it is a new design, it looks more like something out of a western movie than a more modern revolver. The barrel and handle are both unusually long. The single-action mid-sized-frame weapon is available in .357 (six shots), .41 magnum (five shots), or .45 Colt (five shots). The cylinder is only 1.62 inches long, which would be a problem with 265-grain hard-cast .41-magnum ammunition, but Cor-Bon has just released a new, shorter, 250-grain round that will fit. --Stephen V Cole
