Eurofighter is developing a Stealth Strike Typhoon variant that could follow the Typhoon attack fighter in production. The Stealth Typhoon would have an internal weapons bay so that bombs hanging under the wings would not increase the radar signature. The bay would replace the fuel tank in the original Typhoon's belly, and conformal fuel tanks would be added to the upper fuselage to compensate for the lost range. Another possibility is a "wet" vertical tail structure that would contain extra fuel.--Stephen V Cole
