The U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) has been developing weapons to be used by commandos that discover chemical and biological weapons, and want to quickly destroy them in place. The weapon developed is a 300 pound device that contains mostly pellets of titanium boron lithium perchlorate intermetallic material that, once ignited, burns at over 6,000 degrees. This would destroy any toxic materials. In addition, the 300 pound device contains 35 pounds of monatomic chlorine and monatomic fluorine gas, plus hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid, to neutralize any toxic residue. Such a "cleansing cocktail" could also be put into a bunker busting bomb.
