Air Tractor, a Texas company, has completed the first of eight AT-802 aircraft ordered by the State Department for Colombia. The others will be ready by the end of summer. These will be used to eradicate drug crops under the US aid program. These planes are modified versions of crop dusters used in the US, modified with bulletproof windshields, self-sealing fuel tanks, cockpit armor, and fire extinguishers in the engine compartment.--Stephen V Cole
